Popular luxury designer detained at Heathrow airport

Micheal Awolaja is a luxury designer and jeweller, also known as Malivelihood. He was briefly detained in London by security officials.
 He was said to have been detained and queried for not totally declaring everything on him, especially jewels (worth over £100,000) on him. A source who was at the airport during the time told Linda Ikeji how the Nigerian jeweller was accosted at the Heathrow airport.
The security men were said to have thought that the diamond and gold jewels with him were illegal, thereby making him not to declare it. To remove all doubts, he tendered all needed information and he was released.
When the luxury designer was contacted about the incident, he said:

“Lol, Wow Yes, but it was just for a few minutes , I forgot to declare some stuff which made the security people panic. Nothing big though”.
