Parents of the Chibok girls
Abuja - President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that his Government will not rest until the over 200 schoolgirls arrested from Chibok are rescued alive, Punch reports.
Speaking during his address at the European Union (EU) parliament in France, Buhari reiterated his commitment to returning the girls safely to their families, while thanking the EU for their contribution towards Nigeria's fight against insurgency.
The statement comes in response to the kidnapping of over 200 girls from the Government Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State in April of 2014.
Addressing several other issues during his EU address, Buhari also lamented the current security issue going on in Libya as well as noting that the current time seems to be right for opportunists to bomb the continent.
Buhari also stated that democracy had come to Nigeria, rating it as one of the most stable democracies in Africa
